Wisconsin Watercolor Society Spring Exhibition

You are invited to attend the reception on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 1 pm to 4 pm for Wisconsin Watercolor Society Spring Exhibition at the Cedarburg Cultural Center West Gallery, W62 N546 Washington Avenue, Cedarburg, Wisconsin. The exhibition will run until Sunday, June 4.

Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 5 pm. Sunday noon – 4 pm. Closed Mondays and holidays. Admission is free.

Special Shapes was painted in my studio from a photograph I took at the 2021 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. The International Balloon Fiesta is a nine day festival of hot air balloon filled skies. Thursday and Friday is dedicated to Special Shape Rodeo balloons. Over 100 special shape balloons participated.

Big Blue Buick was painted in my studio from a photograph I took of an old Buick I saw parked in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Sheboygan Visual Artists Holiday Exhibition

I have nine paintings left in the gallery at Sheboygan Visual Artists, 1201 Erie Avenue, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The Gallery will only be open two more days…Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18 from 11 am to 4 pm.

Pyle Center Solo Exhibition

I have forty-two paintings on exhibit on the first floor of The Pyle Center, 702 Langdon Street, Madison, Wisconsin. My exhibition will be up until January 12, 2023.

Plymouth Holiday Membership Exhibition

My painting Sleigh Ride won Best of Show at the 27th Annual Holiday Membership Exhibition in Gallery 110 North, inside the Plymouth Arts Center. The exhibition with artwork from 78 member artists will be up until Friday, January 13, 2023.

Lori Beringer, judge’s statement: Can you hear it? Swish, thump cold wind, sun shining. I am transported with all my senses and imagining. A confident hand, bold and masterfully creating depth, bursting the subject forward out of its framed existence! The shadowed path and grasses describe the typography beautifully. Music in paint. Harmony in shapes and color. Visual made into poetry!

Plymouth Paint the Towns in Fall Color

In October I participated in the Paint the Towns in Fall Color en plein air competition in Plymouth, Wisconsin. I completed seven paintings and Orange Twist won Best Fall Color painting.

Apalachicola Quickdraw

In March I participated in the Forgotten Coast en Plein Air quickdraw in Apalachicola, Florida and won Second Place for Dry Dock. It was a warm, rainy day. I had trouble finding a dry location to paint out of the rain. I found an overhang and chose to paint several boats in dry dock.

Plum Bottom Gallery Plein Air Day

On Saturday, July 23, 2022 you are invited to come watch me paint en plein air at two locations of Plum Bottom Gallery…Fish Creek and Egg Harbor, Wisconsin.

From 9 am to 11 am I will be painting outside Plum Bottom Gallery’s Fish Creek location at 4175 Main Street, Fish Creek. Their new gallery is located next door to Hide Side Corner Store on Highway 42 and Main Street.

From noon to 3 pm Plum Bottom Gallery will be hosting a Plein Air Day in honor of the Door County Plein Air Festival at 4999 Plum Bottom Road, Egg Harbor. Any painter in the Door County community is welcome to come paint on their 20 acres and the public is invited to watch them paint during this time.

The Plum Bottom Gallery at this location will feature my work and also the works of Thomas Buchs, Stephanie Lord, Stephen Wycowski, Tom Smith, and Pamela Grabber.

Plum Bottom Gallery represents over one hundred artists from across the country. The galleries are open year-round Sunday – Thursday 10 am – 5 pm and Friday – Saturday 10 am to 6 pm. Thelma Plein Air 2022

Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts in Fond du Lac hosted their first annual Thelma Plein Air event June 17 – June 23, 2022. I am happy to announce that I won the First Place Award for my painting Father’s Day and Honorable Mention for my painting Carousel. Both of the paintings were painted en plein air at Lakeside Park. The paintings will be on exhibit until August 6.

Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts is located at 51 Sheboygan Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Gallery hours are Monday – Friday 10 am – 5 pm. Saturday 10 am – 3 pm. Closed Sunday. Admission is free. Spring Art Show

Plein Air Day Celebration on July 23, 2022 from noon to 3 pm. I will be one of six artists painting outside at the 4999 Plum Bottom Road location outside of Egg Harbor. Come learn why we are so passionate about painting on location.

Plum Bottom Gallery has a new gallery in Fish Creek next to the Hide Side store. Their Grand Opening Celebration will be on Saturday, June 18 from 4 pm to 7 pm.
