You are invited to come see my exhibit at the Lake’s Edge Gallery in the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance Building at Silver Lake College, 2406 S Alverno Road, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. It will be up from Monday, February 26 until Monday, March 26, 2018. Gallery hours are 8 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday. Admission is free.

I Left My Heart in Paris

Honfleur and I left My Heart in Paris will be on exhibit at Gallery 110 North, Plymouth as part of the Plymouth Arts Center 22nd Holiday Membership Exhibition.
I have traveled a lot since my retirement last October. My wife and I stayed in Europe for seven weeks this year and explored northern France, Barcelona, and London. I painted nearly every day. Honfleur was painted on a bright sunny day. My wife took the photo of locks on Pont des Arts Bridge. Large sections of the bridge were covered with locks until 2015 when Paris authorities removed the locks to protect the integrity of the bridge. Come see the show and talk to me about my trip.
The show will be up from December 1 – January 12, 2018.
Artists’ Opening Reception is on Friday, December 1 from 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Awards presented at 6 pm. Complementary snacks and open bar. Live music.
Frank Juarez, gallery director and artist from Sheboygan will be the judge. Best of Show, First through Third Place and Merit Awards will be presented at the reception. The Robert Heuel O.P.A. Award will be given to an artist who displays exceptional skill in his/her chosen path.
The Plymouth Arts Center is at 520 E Mill Street, Plymouth. Gallery hours are Tuesdays – Fridays 10 am – 4 pm. Saturdays – Sundays noon – 3 pm. Closed Mondays and holidays. Admission is free.

I have a solo show at the Glas Coffeehouse from December 1 – January 29, 2018. It is a mixture of twenty paintings I have done over the past year, mostly landscapes.

You are invited to come see, Planes Trains and Automobiles, my solo exhibition of 40 paintings on the first floor of The Pyle Center, UW-Extension Conference Center, 702 Langdon Street, Madison. The exhibit will be up from November 1 – December 22, 2017.
Most of these paintings are watercolors, depicting the beauty of the vehicles used in the past for transportation and work.
The Pyle Center is open Mondays – Fridays 7:45 am – 4:30 pm. Evenings and weekends when events are scheduled. Closed holidays.

Last month 38 artists participated in the 8th Annual Paint the Towns, En Plein Air event in Plymouth, Elkhart Lake, and rural areas. At the reception party over $3,000 in cash awards were given.
My painting Sundown in Plymouth was chosen for the People’s Choice Award. It was an honor to receive the People’s Choice Award.
