June-A-Palooza 2024: A Parisian Experience

I painted a scene of Paris for June-A-Palooza, an outdoor fundraising event to benefit Fresh Meals On Wheels of Sheboygan County.  The palette-shaped sculpture is one of many metal sculptures that will be sold at an auction at Christopher Farm & Gardens during the event.  All proceeds from the auction will benefit Fresh Meals On Wheels of Sheboygan County.

I will be one of about 20 Sheboygan Visual Artists painting en plein air around the extraordinary grounds of Christopher Farm & Gardens during the event to help bring the ambiance of Paris to the soiree.

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase a painting after the event.  A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of paintings will benefit Fresh Meals On Wheels of Sheboygan County.

The fundraising goal this year is to raise $140,000, which is crucial to help fight malnutrition among the fragile population that Meals On Wheels serves daily.

Alive in the Arts

I have my painting Eagle Bluff Lighthouse on display in Gallery 110 North, Plymouth Arts Center’s 29th Annual Juried Art Exhibition Alive in the Arts.

Hector Acuna was the juror for this competition. He reviewed artwork from artists living and working throughout Wisconsin and chose 67 pieces for this new show.

Alive in the Arts will be up until August 2, 2024.

The presenting sponsors are Robert and Phyllis Hoopman, Wisconsin Bank, and Trust, and 20/20 Visions.

SVA Art Show Waters

You are invited to attend the Opening Reception of Sheboygan Visual Artists’ newest exhibition Waters. I have nine paintings in the Ebenreiter Gallery, 1201 Erie Avenue/N 12th Street, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The Opening Reception is Friday, May 17 from 5 pm to 8 pm. Free refreshments and a cash bar.

Haze was painted at the Sheboygan Marina on a hazy day last summer when skies were grey from the widespread fires in Canada. Day at the Beach was painted at the Lake Michigan shoreline on a sunny day last summer.

28th Holiday Membership Exhibition

You are invited to attend the Opening Reception on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 5 pm to 7:30 pm of the 28th Annual Holiday Membership Exhibition at the Plymouth Arts Center, 520 East Mill Street, Plymouth, Wisconsin.

The exhibition has artwork from 75 members, including my painting Ice Skates. Awards will be presented at 6 pm. Watercolor artist Robert Hoopman is the judge for this year.

Complimentary appetizers and desserts. Cash bar. Live holiday musical entertainment will be presented by Mary Fellenz, piano, and Dan Ognavic, piano.

Painting Journeys at The Pyle Center

Lake Michigan Shoreline, $580 14″ x 22″ watercolor

I have 44 mostly plein air paintings on the first floor of The Pyle Center, UW Conference Center, 702 Langdon Street, Madison, Wisconsin. These paintings are a collection of my daily experiences and adventures from the past few years.

The featured painting, Lake Michigan Shoreline was painted while I was camping at Kohler Andrae State Park this past fall. It was a perfect fall day so I decided to do a painting by the lakeshore.
